Project description:

Manage, plan and deliver the clearly defined objectives/goals of the technology project within the time, cost and quality aspects of a project. Lead a team through all the stages of the life-cycle to ensure effective implementation of the project deliverables and to the agreed business objectives.


• The management of one or more IT projects to ensure delivery to time, quality and budget
• Oversight of business requirements analysis, feasibility study and preparation of Project Initiation Documents (including business cases)
• Manage own project deliverables
• Manage project plan, timescales and delivery milestones
• Manage the project’s RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) or escalate as appropriate
• Manage the project’s communications with stakeholders, management and project team
• Track progress versus plan including the actual time/cost and provide regular progress reports
• Build effective working relationships with customers, members and colleagues
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of assigned team members, contribute to their development and provide support and guidance as appropriate
• Develop knowledge of systems, processes and procedures to ensure all elements of the project(s) are delivered
• Contribute to the analysis and design of requirements and delivery of quality driven test solutions
• Support the research, analysis and information for decision making and provide guidance to customers and team members
• Manage the project’s change control process
• Establish and agree with Customer a clear definition at an early stage of the criteria/terms/conditions for stage or final acceptance of the Project
• Manage the User Acceptance testing of the project deliverables
• Manage the roll-out and after care phase of the project to successfully hand over the deliverables to day-to-day operations team(s)
• Contribute to the project deliverables in accordance with the established processes, standards, practices and procedures as specified in Project Handbook

Technical skills:

Essential qualities
• Minimum 10 years’ experience managing complex IT projects
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Proven experience in managing multiple (technical) teams
• Good presentational skills
• Good planning skills
• Structured result-focused way of working
• High quality interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Relationship management in a multi-stakeholder, preferably international, environment
• Successfully worked with Director’s and Senior Managers
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient with MS Office products, specifically Office and MS Project

Desirable qualities:
• Technical skills with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL and data analysis
• Technical experience in functional analysis and design
• Qualified in PM methodology (e.g. PRINCE, PMBOK, Agile)
• Experience in international environment

• Bachelor degree in Computing or related field or relevant technical experience
• Excellent spoken/written English
