MQ Series Expert Engineer
We are looking for a dynamic personality and a real team player who is able to understand the current implementation (on Mainframe) and to help in the design of the target solution. That person will have a role of Expert System Engineer of the MQ Series
solution meaning he will be responsible to maintain and ensure the continuity of the platform during and after the replatforming project.
You will be member of Distributed Core Solution Engineering currently fully focussed on the replatforming program.
The main activities will consist in:
Contribute to and validate the deliverables of our replatforming partner
Build and maintain the documentation and ensure the knowledge transfer
Support the execution of the test phase, trouble shoot and solve issue
Automate as much as possible all operations on the MQ platform from the installation to the operational activities.
Master the security and ensure the compliancy with standards.
Administer the MQ series platform and guarantee on a daily basis its availability
Bachelor with 5 years of experience in similar job
Expert in the Windows environment and familiar with the
Technical writer (in English)
Experience in insurance or financial domain.
Architecture / Design, develop, test and implement
components of an IBM MQ Series solution on Windows.
Good Knowledge of the Windows Server operating system (security, gpo, …)
Performance management of MQ Series infra
Setup monitoring for MQ Series infra
Maintenance of MQ Series clusters
Minimum development/scripting skills (preferably in C# or Powershell) to automate installation and maintenance
activities or provide reporting.
Knowledge of logging solutions (loz.io, logstash)
Knowledge of Scheduling software (BMC Ctrl-M)
Knowledge of AD & AD/LDS
Experience as a MQ Series developer/engineer in large
Ensure handling of MQ Series queues (including setup of security, monitoring, troubleshooting)
Assist developers in the integration of MQ Series
functionalities in their applications
Development & documentation of disaster-recovery plans
