As an IT organisation supporting that business transformation we shifted from a traditional project driven structure towards an agile product driven flat organisation.
This client has defined last year the new way of to enable us to deliver products on a more effective, faster and efficient through tribes with self-organizing squads. In parallel with the change in way of working, theclient also invested in DevOps capabilities to support this change
Now we are at the point all Tribes went through a 14 week intensive training with external agile coaches and are looking on further maturing in the Agile way of working together with our 20 agile coaches within this client that were trained over the last year.
To enable this process of continuous improvement we need an experienced agile coach who is able to drive the guild of agile coaches and be a mentor for our internal agile coaches as well as the management team.

Job Purpose

As an Agile Coach, you will play a key role in maturing the Agile mindset and practices of individuals and teams within the client globally.

You will be the coach of coaches for the internal agile coaches and the coach of the management team of IT Services.

We are looking for an individual who embraces the Agile mindset. With your effective communication skills and sensitivity for the needs of your colleagues you will guide individuals and teams on their journey towards delivering their best work.

As the coach of the management team you will play a key role to help the Tribe Leads to develop their agile leadership skills to become servant leaders and help their respective tribes to become self-organizing and embrace the continuous improvement mindset.
You will be in the lead of the Agile community and together with all agile coaches drive the continuous improvement and help people thinking Agile.


We are looking for 1 senior seasoned agile coach to
  • Train and mentor the internal agile coaches,
  • Ensure continuous improvement in the tribes,
  • Be the agile coach of the IT Management team.

Key Impact and Accountabilities

As the agile coach of IT management team you will coach the Tribe leads on how they can help their tribe to deliver the best value and develop their agile leadership skills.
You will give them 1-on-1 coaching sessions and help the MT ITS become an agile team by themselves (most probably based on Kanban )

You will
  • Help the agile coaches of the tribes reach their goals by empowering the tribe leadership, scrum masters, product owners and IT engineers to reach their maximum potential;
  • Develop coaching plans and provide 1-on-1 coaching for tribe leadership and agile coaches;
  • Identify obstacles and come up with a plan to remove them;
  • Promote the self-organisation and team spirit inside the tribes;
  • Internalize and develop the agile approach and deliver training to support this;
  • Train the agile coaches by trainings, shadowing, …

Technical skills:

In this role, you are given the opportunity to take part of a crucial transformation to Agile for the client, in which Customer Centricity, and Agility, will be implemented with close attention to HR.


  • Will have 5+ years professional experience in an Agile Coach in large tribes/organisations and know how ensure effective cross-squad coordination;
  • Have a proven track record of coaching individuals, teams and leadership;
  • Are receptive to changing needs;
  • Have experience with scaling Agile;
  • Will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Are proactive and take the initiative;
  • Are a good listener;
  • Know the difference between coaching and mentoring and when to apply each most successfully;
  • Enjoy working with people from different nationalities/cultures;
  • Are fluent in English and the local office language;
  • Have an affinity with technology;
  • Will have completed a Master level education;
  • Certification like Certified Agile Practitioner (PMI-ACP) with either Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM II).
