We are currently looking for a self-motivated, highly organized, and creative digital communications professional who will provide support to the Group Communication team. This role reports to the VP Group Communication and the successful candidate will work closely with the Communication teams of the different business units and the wider global organization. This is a temporary position and the assignment will have a duration of one year.

Responsibilities:

  • You will take the communication lead in our digital transformation projects with the goal of providing an improved level of customer service and customer experience throughout the business and across our many functions.

  • You will be expected to develop and implement internal communication strategies with regard to the roll out of Office 365, both at a group and BU level. This will include drafting internal announcements, presentations, and newsletters. Furthermore, you will organize events and distribute creative campaign material across a variety of communication channels.

  • You will be required to provide support to the Group Communication and ICT teams in the development and implementation of the new global intranet portal that is scheduled to be introduced from 2020-2021 (Office 365/SharePoint Online). You will need to build and maintain productive relationships with colleagues working in internal departments, as well as external suppliers, in order to ensure that we maximize the benefits of our intranet platform and derive greater value from its use.

  • You will be expected to provide support to the Group Communication and ICT teams in the migration of the various group company websites onto a new platform.

Technical skills:

  • You should hold a Master’s degree, preferably in Communication. Furthermore, you should possess a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a communication role that has featured both strategic and practical experience.

  • You must be experienced in delivering a program of communications within a multilayered organization.

  • You need to have strong project and teambuilding skills. You should be capable of communicating clearly and effectively across all levels of a large group. You must be a genuine team player with a strong ability to work broadly across a business.

  • You should have solid strategic insights and be able to transfer complex content into short and clear messages.

  • You must have experience working with Office 365, while prior experience of intranet projects and Drupal are a plus.

  • You need to have a “hands-on” and “can-do” approach.

  • You might occasionally be expected to travel to some of our European sites.

  • You must be able to work effectively as part of a small team.

You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.
