Project description:

Our is actively looking for a business, functional & process analyst with strong analytical background to support the migration of Uniface Phase-Out project, the simplification of processes in functional domains “Engineering, GIS & Community Relation” in the context of Engineering Digitalization. These domains cover business activities related to our gas assets (as GRID Maintenance, Metering, Engineering, Construction, …). Multiple systems are also used (Geospatial asset management applications, ESRI tools, Engineering tools, FME, information management systems, Customer Relationship Management, Document Management Systems, .NET developments...). The candidate will be asked to show interest in these domains, to be able to understand the business needs and to assess the impact on the ICT systems.


The candidate will be assigned the following responsibilities: Business/Functional/Process analyst: − The candidate will have to understand and challenge the needs of internal customers in order to define the real requirements, to give the right advise and to propose the right orientation of the solution (in sync with architecture office) − Analyze functional/ business problems and choose the most appropriate solution − Produce precise and formal specifications for systems or business components compliant to the Fluxys methodology standards − Review analysis deliverables of peers − Test evolution of the product/project during sprints − Test final product before user acceptance − Document business processes using Activity Diagrams & BPMN, − Produce functional system specifications compliant to the Fluxys methodology standards, CBD oriented (Component Based Development), − Produce business component interface specifications compliant to the Fluxys methodology standards (CBD), − Produce & follow-up test scenarios on a component and system level − Review functional system specifications of peers − Review business component interface specifications of peers − Act as SPOC for all functional questions during the development process and being the connection between the customer and the IT product team. − Write the high level analysis (via activity diagram, use cases, requirements, process flow…) with the appropriate level of detail based on input from the business − Facilitate definition of Solution Architecture together with Architecture Office − Assist in the redaction of user manual, release notes & possibly training to end users − Provide recommendation through passed experiences to improve business processes Project Leader (as delegation): − The candidate will have to show project management skills to support the different project lifecycle deliverables: ICT project charter together with the business users, ICT project Plan, ICT project stage plans. He will also have to monitor and control the project (actual, earned-value, quality, risks) and communicate to both the ICT management and the steering committee. − The candidate will have to manage different services related to the existing applications (maintenance, support, enhancements): manage the calls/changes with the right priorities, organize the teams and manage the costs. − Insure application of project guidelines & up-to-date documentation of the analysis, architecture, project meetings, project steering committees… − Execute follow-up on the implementation

Technical skills:

Experience and Expertise − Strong business & functional analytical skills of at least 5 years, − Sound experience with Engineering & GIS functional application domain, − Strong experience in support & maintenance of in-house developed applications, − Sound knowledge of software engineering processes and techniques (change management, analysis, iterative developments, test cycles, deployments...) − Sound knowledge of Business Process Modeling techniques (including Role Activity Diagrams) − Sound knowledge of the CBD principles − Knowledge of UX (Usability) - user-friendliness oriented design is a plus − Sound knowledge of the UML modeling language − Fluent in Dutch, French and good knowledge of English Technical Skills • The ability to produce precise and formal specifications for systems or business components compliant to the Fluxys methodology standards (CBD) • fluency in the use of the following tools: o documentation-communication tools (Microsoft Office or equivalent) o modeling tools (UML based CASE tools like Enterprise Architect) o change and configuration management tools o project reporting tools (timesheet reporting) • experience in FME, Esri’s ArcGIS product suite, including ArcGIS Pro / Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Mobile Apps and/or ArcGIS Online and web technologies is a plus • experience of scripting or developer environments such as JavaScript, REST and Python, or web design experience such as HTML, CSS etc, is desirable but not essential • sound knowledge of technical matters like databases (Oracle DB, SQL Server), database queries, .NET architectures.. • able to do bottom-up research for problem diagnostics and / or requirements impact analysis. • experienced in SCRUM & best as SCRUM Master • experienced in ITIL or similar • Knowledge of design pattern
